Lunch & Learns: A Year in Review


Overview

The Rise Journey's Lunch and Learn program, initiated in Q2 of 2021, aimed to enrich workplace education through interactive discussions with subject matter experts. By 2023, the program reached a significant milestone, impacting over 16,000 employees across diverse organizations and industries. Through post-session surveys, the program's profound value in advancing, Learning & Development and (DEIBA) initiatives within organizations became evident, highlighting its importance in fostering a positive workplace culture.

The Challenge

In implementing the Lunch and Learn program, The Rise Journey faced several hurdles. Customization needs varied across organizations, posing a significant challenge. Additionally, there was a growing demand for benchmarking data, highlighting the need for comparative insights. Budget constraints urged efficient optimization of L&D and DEI budgets. Balancing content expansion while maintaining quality proved challenging. Moreover, ensuring proactive engagement and fostering inclusive conversations amidst organizational dynamics remained imperative.

The Rise Journey Strategy

To effectively tackle these challenges, The Rise Journey adopted a multifaceted strategy. Leveraging client feedback, the program tailored learning opportunities to meet specific organizational needs. The curriculum was adapted to ensure inclusivity and relevance across diverse audience levels. Comprehensive support for ongoing organizational development and DEIBA initiatives was provided to foster sustained growth. Efforts were directed towards expanding content while upholding high standards. Collaborative endeavors optimized L&D and DEI budgets, maximizing impact through effective resource allocation.

The Results

The implementation of The Rise Journey's Lunch and Learn program yielded promising outcomes. Broad participation across various tenure levels indicated robust employee engagement and organizational interest. High satisfaction rates underscored the program's significant impact on training outcomes, enhancing employee retention and feelings of inclusion. Consistent demand for ongoing learning, development, and training initiatives reflected the program's continued relevance in organizational development. The growing interest in manager-specific and executive-level DEIBA training highlighted evolving managerial support for inclusive workplace practices.
